Anonymous Donor Promises 1:1 Match in Memory of Museum Registrar
Wednesday, February 24 to March 31

The Penobscot Marine Museum has received a "challenge grant" in memory of Edith P. Murphy of Rockland, who served as registrar at the Penobscot Marine Museum, and who passed away last August after a yearlong illness. According to the museum's executive director, Niles Parker, an anonymous donor has generously offered to match all donations made in Edith's name through March 31, up to a total of $10,000. Donations toward the matching grant in Edith's name can be sent to the Penobscot Marine Museum, PO Box 498, Searsport, ME 04974. Phone: 207-548-2529. Donations can also be made online.
