Beginning Farmer Series Scheduled
Thursday, February 25 to March 18

Are you thinking of starting a farm? Information at the outset can put you on the road to success by saving you time, money and energy. UMaine Extension offers a 4-week series in Waldo starting February 25. Classes will be held on Thursdays, 6:30 – 9pm. Educators Rick Kersbergen and Caragh Fitzgerald will collaborate with farmers and other experts to present this series. Novice farmers will be given the tools to evaluate and choose enterprises, develop a business plan and market their products. $50 per farm. Registration ends Feb 19.
